As this is just a snapshot of their Chuseok Special recording, I’m not entirely sure their efforts were enough to “revive” it so to speak. But KARA, if I may say so myself, has been rather experimental of late, and doing quite well at it. As far as I can tell, they haven’t drawn as much flak as they did for “Rock U” and “Pretty Girl”.
People have been going crazy quoting their “ong-dong-i-choom (butt boogie)” left, right and center. So much so that it leaves me wondering if the dance is more popular than the singers themselves. Anyway, the girls took on the Wonder Girls‘ “Nobody” performance, with outfits and all. When the lions are away, the field mice can play. No? What I’m willing to bet now though is KARA’s stamina at upholding energy of the song and dance.
In addition, their second JYP cover (they previously did “Again & Again”), two members had Beyonce solos. Nicole performed “Single Ladies” and Han Seung Yeon did “Crazy In Love”. Coincidentally, Sohee also has an unforgettable rendition of “Single Ladies”.
To catch all the action this Chuseok weekend, stay tuned to MBC on October 4 at 7.35pm.
